Operating Principle

Adsorption Technology

ADP series units operate on an adsorption principle using two separate air streams. Process air passes through the silica gel rotor; the silica gel absorbs water vapour from the air, drying it. As the rotor slowly turns, regeneration air is directed in the opposite direction: heated to +100°C by electric heaters, this airstream strips the absorbed moisture from the rotor, restoring its initial adsorption capacity. The moisture-laden regeneration air is then discharged to the outside.

Process Air Inlet

Humid air passes through a G4 filter and is directed to the silica gel rotor; the fan drives the airstream using negative pressure.

Adsorption

The silica gel rotor adsorbs water vapour from the process air; the dried airstream is delivered to the process or conditioned space.

Regeneration

Electric heaters raise regeneration air temperature to ~100°C; this hot airstream passes through the rotor in the opposite direction, stripping and expelling moisture.

Continuous Cycle

The rotor slowly rotates between adsorption and regeneration zones, providing uninterrupted dehumidification.

Materials & Structural Features

Housing

AISI 304 stainless steel; high resistance to corrosive environments and industrial process conditions.

Silica Gel Rotor

High-efficiency silica gel rotor with a honeycomb structure of corrugated heat-resistant sheets, providing a large adsorption surface and low air pressure drop. Operates undamaged in saturated air conditions; non-combustible and non-flammable.

Drive System

Gearmotor and belt drive system; rotates the rotor at a slow, stable speed. Rotor shaft is fitted with ball bearings and manufactured from steel.

Regeneration Heater

Electric: steel element star-connected; 2+ stage modulation. Steam (optional): AISI 304 tube steam coil with modulating 2-way valve. Gas (optional): Direct flame burner with gas ramp and modulating valve.

Fans

Process and regeneration fans directly coupled to IP55 / ISO F class single or three-phase motors; optional frequency converter for speed control.

Filters

Separate G4 filters on both process and regeneration air inlets; optional F5/F7/F9.

PLC Control

PLC control with touch-screen display; regeneration temperature regulation, alarm management, RH/dew point control and BMS integration.

Connections

Standard spiral duct compatible connections; process air inlet, dry air outlet, regeneration air inlet and wet air outlet.
