Operating Principle

Hybrid ECOAD Technology

ADE series ECOAD units combine refrigeration compressor and silica gel rotor technology in a hybrid configuration. Process air first passes through a cooling heat exchanger for initial condensation, then through the silica gel rotor for deep dehumidification. Regeneration air is heated to ~+60°C using the condenser heat from the refrigeration compressor and directed through the rotor in the opposite direction; this heat recovery mechanism significantly increases system efficiency.

Pre-Cooling

After passing through a G4 filter, process air is directed to the compressor evaporator coil; initial moisture condensation takes place here.

Adsorption

Pre-cooled air enters the silica gel rotor; the rotor adsorbs remaining moisture for deep dehumidification. Dry air is delivered to the process area.

Regeneration (Condenser Heat)

Condenser heat from the compressor (~+60°C) is used to heat the regeneration air; this hot airstream passes through the rotor in reverse, stripping moisture.

Continuous Cycle

The rotor slowly rotates between adsorption and regeneration zones, providing uninterrupted dehumidification. Moisture-laden regeneration air is discharged outside.

Materials & Structural Features

Housing

AISI 304 stainless steel and aluminium profile frame with sandwich panels; front panels removable for maintenance access.

Silica Gel Rotor

High-efficiency silica gel rotor with a honeycomb structure of corrugated heat-resistant sheets, providing a large adsorption surface and low air pressure drop. Operates undamaged in saturated air conditions; non-combustible and non-flammable.

Compressor

Semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor with motor winding thermal overload protection, high/low pressure circuit protection and crankcase heater. R134a refrigerant.

Heating & Cooling Coils

Copper tube, aluminium fin condenser (heat recovery) and evaporator (pre-cooling) coils; optional AISI 304 or inox316 materials.

Drive System

Gearmotor and belt drive system; rotates the rotor at a slow, stable speed. Rotor shaft is fitted with ball bearings and manufactured from steel.

Fans

Process and regeneration fans directly coupled to IP55 / ISO F class single or three-phase motors; optional frequency converter for speed control.

Filters

Separate G4 filters on both process and regeneration air inlets; optional F5/F7/F9.

PLC Control

PLC control with touch-screen display; regeneration temperature regulation, alarm management, RH/dew point control and BMS integration.

Connections

Standard spiral duct compatible connections; process air inlet, dry air outlet, regeneration air inlet and wet air outlet.
