What water quality is required for the SKE4?

The SKE4 operates with standard tap water. For optimal performance, water hardness of 80–350 mg/L CaCO3 is recommended. For very hard water (>500 mg/L), a softening filter is advised. The long-lasting stainless steel chamber minimizes scale buildup.

How often should SKE4 maintenance be performed?

Under normal tap water conditions, chamber cleaning 1–2 times per year is sufficient. The LCD menu interface notifies maintenance time. The stainless steel chamber, unlike plastic cylinders, can be removed and cleaned tool-free in approximately 15 minutes.

How is BMS integration done?

The SKE4 communicates with BMS/BAS systems via BACnet MS/TP or Modbus RTU protocols. With the optional Ethernet module, BACnet IP or Modbus TCP/IP are also supported. Standard RS-485 connection is sufficient for integration; web service support is also available.

Is outdoor installation possible?

Yes. The SKE4 OUTDOOR version comes with a fully insulated enclosure rated down to -40°C. Anti-freeze and overheat protection are included. No boiler room or mechanical room required.

What capacity range can be covered with SKE4?

A single SKE4 unit provides 2.7 to 136 kg/hr. For higher capacities, multiple units can be connected in parallel. Contact our technical team to determine the right model for your capacity needs.
