- Chlorine in pool water combines with nitrogen compounds brought in by swimmers to form chloramines; these pass into the air, which makes the hall air both humid and corrosive.
- On a condensing unit the heat exchanger surface stays wet during operation, in constant contact with the aggressive hall air; this surface decides the service life of the unit.
- The heat exchangers of wheeled mobile units have no protection against pool chemicals. A standard condensing unit corrodes within 1 to 2 years in a pool hall, so it should not be used there even when its capacity looks sufficient.
- Our CDNP series is the right choice for warehouses, basements and pool plant rooms; we do not recommend it for the pool hall, because it was not built for that environment.
- On every Microwell unit, the heat exchanger has a special coating against pool chemicals and aggressive air; Microwell wall units run at 42 to 46 decibels at 1 metre.
